    Description :

      The low-voltage system of offshore oil platforms is very different from that of onshore power systems. It belongs to the neutral point ungrounded system. In the event of a single-phase grounding fault, the system allows normal operation with the fault for 2 hours to ensure that important electrical equipment at sea will not be immediately shut down. Nowadays, most offshore platforms use insulation monitoring devices to monitor the insulation condition of the system. When there is a fault, an alarm is issued, but it cannot detect which load in the system has an insulation fault. Platform electrical personnel need to cut off the low-voltage load circuits on site one by one for fault diagnosis, which brings great difficulties to the search for grounding faults. When a single-phase grounding fault occurs in the low-voltage busbar, in order to lock the fault point in time and facilitate on-site electrical personnel to timely troubleshoot and solve the grounding fault, and improve the stability of the low-voltage system, an insulation monitoring and fault location system can be used to achieve the location of the insulation fault circuit and phase line.

      The low-voltage power grid system of offshore oil platforms belongs to an independent power grid system. In order to ensure platform production, the low-voltage system of the platform cannot be shut down due to insulation failure of a certain load. Therefore, the 0.4kV low-voltage power system of the platform adopts a neutral point insulation system. The characteristic of a neutral point insulation system is that when a single-phase grounding occurs, the voltage and phase between each phase remain unchanged, and the balance of the three-phase system is not disrupted, so it can continue to operate in a short period of time. However, if operated with faults for a long time, it can cause phase to phase short circuits, or when single-phase arc light is grounded, the system will resonate and cause overvoltage, which will put a lot of pressure on the platform production.

      Nowadays, most oil platforms are equipped with insulation monitoring devices. The original insulation monitoring equipment can only monitor the insulation level of the entire busbar and cannot detect which specific load has insulation faults. Therefore, insulation monitoring and fault location systems can be used to locate insulation fault circuits.

      In response to the issue of insulation problem detection technology limiting coal production efficiency in the power supply system, an online monitoring system design and application work was carried out with a 6kV underground power supply system of a coal enterprise as the research object. The results show that the system works stably, meets the requirements of online monitoring of underground power cable insulation, reduces the consumption of human resources for underground power cables, reduces the time for troubleshooting insulation faults, improves the utilization rate of internal power equipment in coal mines, and creates more economic benefits for enterprises.       With the continuous improvement of coal mining output and efficiency, the requirements for the safety and reliability of the power supply system are becoming increasingly high. At present, the power supply mode for coal mine fully mechanized mining faces in China is mostly cable based, and the insulation performance of cables is closely related to their safe and reliable operation, which has attracted high attention. The underground environment of coal mines is relatively harsh, and coupled with the aging or partial discharge of cables during long-term use, insulation aging problems of power supply cables are prone to occur. Once the insulation aging of power supply cables in service occurs, if the fault location cannot be found in a timely manner and the insulation aging line cannot be cut off, it will cause significant safety hazards to the underground power supply system of coal mines. There are few online monitoring devices for insulation aging in the current power supply system. The commonly used measurement and monitoring methods require stopping the entire power grid, which not only requires a large amount of manpower and material resources, but also affects the normal progress of coal mining work, limiting the further improvement of coal production and efficiency.
