I. Overview
Glass rotor flowmeter is mainly used in various departments such as chemical, petroleum, light industry, medicine, fertilizer, synthetic fiber, food crystal, dye, environmental protection, and scientific research to measure the flow rate of single-phase non arterial (liquid or gas) fluids.
Corrosion resistant flow meters are mainly used for flow detection of corrosive liquids and gas media, such as strong acids, strong bases, oxidants, strong oxidizing acids, organic solvents, and other corrosive gas or liquid media.

3、 Principle and Structure
The main measuring components of the flowmeter are a vertically installed lower small upper large conical glass tube and a float that can move up and down inside the tube. When the fluid flows through the conical glass tube from bottom to top, a pressure difference is generated between the upper and lower parts of the float, and the float rises under this pressure difference. When the upward force equals the buoyancy and viscous lift acting on the float and the weight of the float, the float is in an equilibrium position. Therefore, there is a certain proportional relationship between the fluid flow rate flowing through the flowmeter and the rising height of the float, that is, the flow area of the flowmeter. The position height of the float can be used as a measure of flow rate.
4、 Precautions to be taken during installation
1. Before installation, it is necessary to verify that the instrument allows for a working temperature and pressure that cannot be lower than the maximum temperature and pressure of the fluid being measured in the pipeline, and that the instrument scale range is within the range of changes in the fluid flow rate being measured.
2. The rotor flowmeter must be installed vertically. The fluid flows through the instrument from bottom to top for measurement.
3. The rotor flowmeter should be installed in a place without vibration and easy to maintain, with reliable support, and should not receive any tension or pressure from the pipeline.
When used for dirty fluids, the measured fluid may mix with oil particles, etc., and a filter must be installed upstream of the instrument. Especially for instruments with small diameters (below ф 25mm), they are very sensitive to dirt and must consider the issue of filtering in front of the instrument. When there may be ferromagnetic impurities in the measured fluid, a magnetic filter should be installed in front of the instrument. Measuring dirty fluids requires frequent flushing of the instrument.
5. The upstream (inlet end) of the flowmeter should have a straight pipe section with a nominal diameter of 5-10 times. It is strongly recommended to install a bypass pipe next to the flowmeter.
