      This product is mainly used to measure the volumetric flow rate of conductive liquids and slurries in closed pipelines. Including highly corrosive liquids such as acids, alkalis, salts, etc.

      1、 Applicable medium:

      Condition: Liquid with conductivity greater than 5 μ s/cm; The conductivity of softened water should be greater than 20 μ s/cm.

      4、 Selection:

      1. Caliber selection

      Based on the diameter of the process pipeline, pipeline pressure, and sewage flow rate provided by the sewage treatment plant, an electromagnetic flowmeter with a diameter of D-600 mm is selected, and there is no need for pipe reduction or expansion on site.

      2. Selection of lining and electrode materials

      Electromagnetic flow meters are mainly used to measure fluid flow rates with a conductivity of ≥ 5U S/cm. Different lining and electrode materials should be selected based on the corrosiveness, wear resistance, temperature, and condensation characteristics of the measured substance, as well as their affordability.

      The lining materials of electromagnetic flow meters include chloroprene rubber material with moderate corrosion resistance and resistance to generally low concentrations of acids, alkalis, and salts, polyurethane rubber with strong wear resistance and moderate corrosion resistance, polytetrafluoroethylene with strong corrosion resistance and suitable for high temperatures, polytetrafluoroethylene with tensile and compressive properties equivalent to polytetrafluoroethylene, polyethylene with resistance to dilute acids, alkalis, and salts at temperatures<60 ℃, and polyphenylene sulfide at temperatures<100 ℃.

      The electrode material is installed on the inner wall of the pipeline and comes into direct contact with the tested substance, so it should be selected based on the corrosiveness of the tested substance. The materials for electromagnetic flowmeter electrodes include titanium (Ti) electrodes that are resistant to salt and alkaline solutions with concentrations less than 50%, tantalum (Ta) electrodes that are resistant to acid and salt, precious metal platinum electrodes with strong corrosion resistance, Hastelloy C electrodes that are not suitable for hydrochloric acid and Hastelloy B electrodes that are not suitable for nitric acid, and stainless steel 316L with average corrosion resistance but low cost.

      Based on the fact that the sewage treatment plant mainly treats domestic and industrial wastewater, and considering the price that users can accept, chloroprene rubber material lining and stainless steel 316L material electrode are selected.

      3. Selection of Protection Level

      According to national standards, sensors have two protection levels: IP65 spray type and IP68 submersible type. Based on the actual installation location of the user in a low shaft, the sensor is selected as IP68 dustproof submersible type.
