      1、 Selection guide:

      Caliber selection

      The diameter of the flowmeter should be the same as that of the process pipeline. If in the following two situations:

      ① The flow rate inside the pipeline is too low to meet the flow meter's requirements for the flow rate range or to achieve high measurement accuracy at this flow rate.

      ② The medium is prone to adhere to the pipe wall, which affects the normal use of the flowmeter.

      You can choose a flow meter with a diameter smaller than the process pipeline, but you need to do a good job of reducing the diameter.

      2、 Structural form:

      1. Sensor:

      This product mainly consists of a measuring catheter, measuring electrode, excitation coil, iron core, magnetic yoke, and housing.

      a、 Measurement catheter: composed of stainless steel catheter, lining, and connecting flange, it is a carrier for measuring the on-site working conditions of the measured liquid.

      b、 Measurement electrode: a pair of electrodes installed on the inner wall of the measurement catheter, perpendicular to the axial flow direction, to generate signals for the measured liquid.

      c、 Excitation coil: The upper and lower excitation coils that generate a magnetic field inside the measuring conduit.

      d、 Iron core and magnetic yoke: Introduce the magnetic field generated by the excitation coil into the liquid and form a magnetic circuit.

      e、 Shell: Instrument outer packaging.

      2. Converter:

      It is an intelligent secondary meter that amplifies and processes flow signals. After calculation by the microcontroller, it can display flow rate, cumulative measurement, and output signals such as pulses and analog currents for measuring or controlling fluid flow rate.

      3. Product assembly form:

      It is divided into two forms: one-piece and split type.

      a、 Integrated: The sensor and converter are installed together.

      b、 Split type: Sensors and converters are installed separately, forming a flow metering system through connecting cables.

      c、 To meet the requirements of measuring different media, there are multiple choices for the lining and electrode materials of sensors.

      3、 Installation:

      The selection of installation site for large water pipe flow meters is a factor that must be considered.

      The protection level of the sensor housing is usually IP68 (immersion level specified in GB4208), and the installation site has the following requirements:

      1. When measuring mixed phase fluids, choose a location that will not cause phase separation; When measuring two-component liquids, avoid placing them downstream before mixing evenly. When measuring chemical reaction pipelines, they should be placed downstream of the fully reacted section;

      2. Try to avoid negative pressure inside the measuring tube as much as possible;

      3. Avoid attachments such as large motors and transformers to prevent electromagnetic interference;

      4. Choose a location with low vibration, especially for integrated instruments;

      5. Try to avoid high concentrations of corrosive gases in the surrounding environment as much as possible;

      6. Places that are easy to implement separate grounding for sensors;

      7. The ambient temperature is within the range of -25/-10 to 50/600 ° C, and the temperature of the integrated structure is also limited by electronic components, with a narrower range;

      8. Try to avoid direct sunlight as much as possible

      9. The relative humidity of the environment should be within the range of 10% to 90%, and rainwater immersion should also be avoided.
