This product is widely used for measuring fluids in industries such as petroleum, chemical, metallurgical, papermaking, power generation, and water conservancy. 3、 Selection:
When the user's measuring medium is steam, commonly used units of mass flow measurement are t/h or kg/h. Due to the varying densities of steam at different temperatures and pressures, the range of steam flow can be calculated using equation (7).
Step 1: Find the air flow range of the corresponding caliber flowmeter from Table 3.
Step 2: Based on the pressure and temperature parameters of the steam, search for relevant information to obtain the density of the steam.
Step 3: Calculate the lower limit flow rate of the flowmeter using equation (7). In the formula: Q, p - flow rate and density of the measured steam Q0, P0- flow rate and density of the reference air (1.205 kg/m3)
Step 4: Determine the upper limit of traffic. The upper limit flow rate of steam should be less than 70m/s
Users can also check the table to determine the flow range of saturated steam measured by different caliber flow meters, or input the density of superheated steam into Table 5 to calculate the flow range of steam measured by different caliber flow meters. When measuring the mass flow rate of steam, the sensor must be combined with temperature and pressure measuring components to form a mass flow measurement system. Platinum resistors or pressure transmitters should be installed to measure saturated steam; Platinum resistors and pressure transmitters should be installed simultaneously for measuring superheated steam.
