LBYInstallation steps of roof separation instrument:
a) Drill holes on the top plate to the predetermined depth using a Φ 28mm drill bit.
b) Push the upper anchor 1 to the upper end of the borehole with a slotted installation rod, gently pull the thin steel wire rope, and confirm that the anchor is anchored.
c) Push the middle anchor 2 to the designated monitoring position in the borehole using the slotted installation rod at the end, and gently pull the thin steel wire rope to confirm that the anchor has been anchored.
e) Insert the casing assembly into the borehole, ensuring that the two scale indicator rings move smoothly without any obstruction, and confirm that the orifice casing assembly is fixed in the borehole (note: while pushing the orifice casing assembly into the borehole, the thin steel wire rope needs to be pulled outward from the end of the scale tube).
f) Clamp the scale indicator ring and the thin steel wire rope connected to it, confirm that the indicator ring is not obstructed, cut off the excess thin steel wire rope, and install the other two points using the same method as f.
LBYMonitoring principle of roof separation instrument
The anchor head of the deep base point should be fixed in the stable rock layer at a depth of 5m in the borehole, and the shallow base point should be fixed at a depth of 2-2.5m in the borehole (at the end of the drill pipe). When there is delamination within the anchoring range of the anchor rod, the top plate (casing) moves downward along the outer measuring cylinder, and the amount of movement is indicated by the measuring cylinder ruler. When the top plate of the anchoring range separates, the relative position between the outer measuring cylinder and the top plate remains unchanged, but sliding downwards along the inner measuring cylinder indicates that there is separation of the top plate, and the amount of separation is indicated by the ruler of the inner measuring cylinder. When there is delamination both inside and outside the anchoring range of the anchor rod, the inner and outer measuring cylinders have delamination displays, and the sum of the displayed values is the total delamination value.
