Construction and working principle of forklift water tank radiator
The engine/gearbox cooling system of an internal combustion forklift consists of a water tank (radiator), a water pump, a fan, upper and lower water pipes, a water jacket, a heat-resistant oil pipe from the gearbox to the water tank, a water temperature gauge, a thermostat, etc. The function of the water tank is to cool the high-temperature water of the forklift engine and the high-temperature hydraulic transmission oil of the gearbox. The heat absorbed from the water jacket by the circulating water is exchanged with the air, and then carried back to the air, playing a role in heat dissipation. Not only used for engine operation heat dissipation, but also for transmission heat dissipation. The function of the thermostat is to automatically adjust the amount of water entering the radiator according to the temperature of the cooling water, change the circulation range of the water, and regulate the heat dissipation capacity of the cooling system to ensure that the engine operates within the appropriate temperature range. The thermostat must maintain good technical condition, otherwise it will seriously affect the normal operation of the engine (when the temperature at the outlet is below 70 degrees Celsius, the auxiliary valve opens and does not pass through the water tank for heat dissipation. If the water temperature reaches above 70 degrees Celsius, the main valve of the thermostat opens, and the cooling water flows into the water tank through the inlet pipe for heat dissipation before entering the water pump circulation) The commonly used material for the water tank body is aluminum or brass with good heat transfer and conductivity. There are many reasons for high water temperature, such as temperature control switches, pumps, fans, rusted water pipes, and poor return water. The temperature of the engine water in internal combustion forklifts is mainly related to the thermostat, water pump, cooling fan and fan belt, whether the radiator in the water tank is blocked, and whether special antifreeze or tap water is added. The cooling fan is driven by the engine to rotate and provide air flow through the water tank for air cooling and heat dissipation. The control of cooling water temperature mainly relies on a thermostat.
