    Description :

Significant features of WBGT-2006 wet bulb black bulb temperature index instrument:

The 2006 WBGT index meter host adopts a fully Chinese operation menu. The instrument adopts advanced digital temperature sensitive components to directly output digital temperature signals. The dry bulb, wet bulb, and black bulb temperatures are displayed directly on the screen, and the WBGT index value at this time is also displayed. The storage time for data records can reach up to 100 hours.

This method can be conveniently applied in industrial environments to evaluate the thermal intensity of the environment. It is used to evaluate the heat intensity experienced by the human body throughout the entire work cycle, and is not suitable for evaluating the heat intensity in a short period of time or near a certain area. The United States and some Europe have been using this method to evaluate the thermal and meteorological conditions of high-temperature workshops for many years, and the ISO standardization organization has officially adopted this method as a testing standard for thermal intensity since 1982 (see ISO7243). The existing "Classification of High Temperature Operations" (GB/T4200-2008) and "Occupational Exposure Limits to Hazardous Factors in the Workplace" (GBZ2-2002) standards in China also adopt the WBGT index method.

Technical parameters of WBGT-2006 wet bulb black bulb temperature index instrument:

The wet bulb black bulb temperature (WBGT) index is used to evaluate the meteorological conditions of high-temperature workshops, taking into account four factors: air temperature, wind speed, air humidity, and radiant heat. WBGT is composed of three parts: black ball, dry ball, and natural wet ball. The temperature reading of the black sphere is affected by air temperature, wind speed, radiation heat, and air temperature. After long-term experimental research, scholars believe that when these three readings are calculated in the following way, the results obtained can accurately reflect the meteorological conditions of the workplace.

      About the probe

The black ball temperature, natural wet ball temperature, and air temperature measuring heads are horizontally installed on the same horizontal frame.

      1. Natural wet bulb temperature probe

The natural wet bulb temperature probe cover has a layer of gauze and is placed in the tested environment, relying purely on natural ventilation without using forced ventilation. Therefore, the obtained reading is different from the count of the ventilated dry bulb thermometer.

The natural wet bulb temperature probe has the following characteristics:

      Probe shape: cylindrical

      Measuring head outer diameter: 6 ± 1mm

Small length of measuring head: 30 ± 5mm

      Measurement range: 5-40 ℃

      Accuracy: ± 0.5 ℃

The measuring head should be wrapped with a highly absorbent material, such as cotton gauze. The gauze should form a sleeve shape, with a size that fits perfectly over the measuring head. If it is too tight or too loose, it will affect the reading of the measuring head. The gauze should be kept clean. The lower end of the gauze should hang in a water tank, and the free length of the gauze in the air should be 20-30mm. It should be able to increase the water temperature caused by radiation heat.

Any other type of device can be used if the same data can be obtained after calibration.

      2. Black ball temperature probe

The temperature sensitive element of the black ball temperature probe is placed on the black ball, and the characteristics of the black ball are:

      Diameter: 150mm

Average radiation coefficient: 0.95 (unpolished black sphere)

      Thickness: The thinner the better

      Measurement range: 20-120 ℃

      Accuracy: 20-40 ℃± 0.5 ℃

      50-120℃ ±1℃

      3. Air temperature sensor

When measuring air temperature sensitive components, attention should be paid to the influence of radiation heat.

      Measurement range: 10-60 ℃

      Accuracy: ± 0.5 ℃

To ensure the accuracy and stability of the testing, the temperature sensitive element used in the 2006 WBGT index meter is the currently advanced digital temperature sensitive element.
