      The packing layer in the spray tower serves as a mass transfer device for gas-liquid two-phase contact components. The bottom of the packing tower is equipped with a packing support plate, and the packing is placed on the support plate in a disorderly manner. A packing pressure plate is installed above the packing to prevent it from being blown by the rising airflow. The spray liquid of the spray tower is sprayed onto the packing from the top of the tower through the liquid distributor, and flows down along the surface of the packing. The gas is sent from the bottom of the tower, distributed by the gas distribution device, and continuously passes through the gaps of the packing layer in reverse flow with the liquid. On the surface of the packing layer, the gas-liquid phase is in close contact for mass transfer. When the liquid flows down along the packing layer, wall flow phenomenon sometimes occurs, and the wall flow effect causes uneven distribution of gas-liquid phase in the packing layer, thereby reducing mass transfer efficiency. Therefore, the packing layer inside the spray tower is divided into two sections, with a redistribution device installed in the middle. After redistribution, it is sprayed onto the lower packing layer.

      Catalytic combustion is suitable for purifying toxic and harmful gases such as combustible gases and vapors. However, for toxic and harmful gases such as large amounts of dust particles and mist droplets, it is easy to cause blockage of the catalytic bed, leading to a decrease in catalytic activity and thus reducing purification efficiency. The catalytic combustion purification method is almost applicable to all industrial production processes that emit hydrocarbons or odorous compounds.

      Catalytic combustion is a purification method that uses catalysts to oxidize and decompose combustible substances in exhaust gas at lower temperatures. So, catalytic combustion is also known as catalytic chemical conversion. Due to the acceleration of the oxidation decomposition process by the catalyst, most hydrocarbons can be completely oxidized by the catalyst at temperatures of 300-450 ℃.

      Compared with the thermal combustion method, catalytic combustion requires less auxiliary fuel, consumes less energy, and has smaller equipment and facilities. However, the promotion and application of this method in industrial production processes have been affected by issues such as catalyst poisoning, replacement of catalytic beds, and high cleaning costs.
