The Rosette filling was first developed by A.J. Teller of the United States in 1954, hence the flower wreath is often referred to as the Teller Rosette. This type of packing is composed of many circular rings. Due to the high liquid holding capacity at the gaps of the packing, the residence time of the liquid in the tower can be longer, thereby increasing the contact time between the gas-liquid phase and improving the mass transfer efficiency of the packing.
