Scope and conditions of application of EMA elastic epoxy modified anti-corrosion coating
EMA elastic epoxy modified anti-corrosion coating is mainly suitable for anti-corrosion of industrial highly corrosive sewage treatment plants, as well as for anti-corrosion of non-toxic environments such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, coal chemical industry, petrochemical industry, papermaking, chemical fiber, natural gas, etc. It is also suitable for anti-corrosion protection of concrete and steel structures and water pipelines. It is also suitable for anti-corrosion of the inner wall of the cooling tower in power plants, and anti-corrosion of concrete structures in garbage landfills.
Construction Operation Regulations
The characteristic of EMA elastic epoxy modified anti-corrosion coating is that it has no special requirements for the shape, location, and type of base layer. It has strong applicability and is suitable for various steel and concrete structure base layers. Its construction operation can be summarized into the following three stages.
(1) Grassroots preparation
A: Concrete structure
1. The base layer requires flatness, surface compaction and smoothing, no sharp edges, no honeycomb or rough surface, and no bulging cracks. Otherwise, it must be treated to meet the above requirements.
2. Surface construction waste and floating ash must be thoroughly removed.
3. There should be no visible water at the grassroots level, otherwise it should be removed and cleaned thoroughly.
B: Steel structure
1. The steel structure requires the rust removal of the steel surface to reach Sa2.5 level.
2. Directly spray EMA elastic epoxy modified anti-corrosion coating to meet the design thickness requirements (without primer or intermediate coating).
(2) Material usage
Before use, it should be stirred evenly, and mechanical spraying can be used for anti-corrosion construction.
1. The EMA elastic epoxy modified anti-corrosion coating is a two-component coating, which should be stirred evenly before use (with a stirring time of not less than 10 minutes)
2. After each mixing, clean the mixing bucket, mixing blades, and other utensils and equipment with clean water in a timely manner, otherwise it will affect the quality of the next mixing.
(3) Coating construction
EMA elastic epoxy modified anti-corrosion coating can be mechanically sprayed or manually applied.
1. Mechanical spraying
Using high-pressure spraying equipment and a 220V single-phase motor, the equipment weighs only 120 kilograms. A construction team of three people can complete more than 2000-3000 square meters per shift.
2. Manual painting
Use a long board brush or circular rolling brush with a thickness of 150mm to 200mm or more for painting. Brushing should be done horizontally and vertically in a cross pattern to achieve a flat, uniform, and consistent thickness.
(4) Thickness requirements
The dry film thickness after construction shall not be less than 1mm.
(5) The desired effect after construction
After the construction is completed, the coating color is uniform, there is no leakage or bottoming phenomenon, the thickness is uniform, and there are no pinholes, cracks, bubbles or other phenomena on the surface.
Precautions
1. This product should be stored in a cool and dry place to prevent exposure to sunlight and freezing.
2. The effective storage period is six months, and the storage temperature is above 0 ℃ and below 45 ℃.
