　　The regular inspection of storage tanks is divided into external inspection, internal and external inspection, and comprehensive inspection. The inspection cycle should be determined based on the technical condition and operating conditions of the equipment, but external inspection should be conducted at least once a year, internal and external inspection should be conducted at least once every 3 years, and comprehensive inspection should be conducted at least once every 6 years. If the service life of the storage tank has reached 15 years, internal and external inspections should be conducted every two years; If the usage period has reached 20 years, internal and external inspections should be conducted at least once a year. For storage tanks that have undergone regular inspections, inspection personnel shall provide inspection statements indicating whether the tanks can continue to be used or require special monitoring methods. The inspection statement should be stored in the technical file of the storage tank.

　　Preparation before inspection:

　　1. Refer to relevant technical materials to understand the shortcomings that have been discovered in the production, installation, and use of storage tanks.

　　2. Clean the medium inside the storage tank, use blind plates to separate the equipment and pipelines connected to it, and there should be prominent partition symbols.

　　3. Replace and clean the residual gas in the storage tank, and take samples for analysis to meet safety standards.

　　4. Open all manholes of the storage tank, remove the internal components of the tank, and clean the dirt on the inner wall.

　　5. Cut off the power supply related to the storage tank. When entering the tank for inspection, a low-voltage explosion-proof lamp with a voltage not exceeding 12V or 24V should be used, and there must be a dedicated person outside the tank for supervision. When the power supply voltage of inspection instruments and repair tools exceeds 36V, it is necessary to use well insulated flexible wires and reliable grounding wires.

　　6. The tank area should be equipped with firefighting, safety, and rescue equipment. If hot work is required, the hot work permit procedures must be handled according to the rules.
