    Description :

CZ steel is a type of cold-formed thin-walled steel mainly used as roof purlins and wall beams in steel structure buildings. It solves the problems of heavy weight and inconvenient installation of traditional steel sections, and has the characteristics of reasonable cross-sectional shape, light weight, and strong bearing capacity. Typical working conditions include roof support systems for steel structure buildings such as industrial plants, warehouses, and large supermarkets. CZ steel increases the moment of inertia of the section through rolled edge design, improves bending performance, effectively disperses roof loads, and ensures the stability and safety of building structures. It is an indispensable basic component in modern light steel structure systems.

The specifications and dimensions of CZ steel are usually customized according to design requirements, with a common height range of 80mm to 300mm and a thickness of generally 1.5mm to 3.0mm. The material is mostly Q235B or Q345B carbon structural steel, with a surface treated with hot-dip galvanizing and a zinc layer thickness that meets national standards, possessing excellent corrosion resistance. The production process follows the standards of GB/T 6725 "Cold formed Steel" and GB/T 700 "Carbon Structural Steel" to ensure dimensional accuracy and mechanical properties. Each CZ steel is usually pre punched with installation holes at both ends for easy on-site bolt connection, with high machining accuracy and good straightness, meeting the requirements of large-scale industrial assembly.

When selecting, the specific specifications of CZ steel should be determined based on the roof load, purlin span, and spacing calculation. C-type purlins are suitable for continuous or multi span structures, and can achieve continuous beam stress through overlapping, saving materials; Z-shaped purlins are more suitable for large-span roofs, making them easier to stack and transport, and have better load-bearing performance. If the roof slope is large or there is a strong wind load, Z-shaped purlins should be preferred to take advantage of their symmetry. Not suitable for special environments such as high temperature and strong corrosion, unless additional anti-corrosion treatment is carried out. When purchasing, it is necessary to clarify the steel grade, galvanizing amount, and punching position to avoid on-site secondary processing.

The installation of CZ steel requires attention to directionality and the degree of tightness of connection nodes. The typical service life is consistent with the service life of the main steel structure. Daily maintenance mainly checks whether the galvanized layer is damaged and whether the connecting bolts are loose. If local rust is found, timely rust prevention repair should be carried out to prevent corrosion from spreading. Common faults include deformation or cracking at the connection due to excessive load, in which case immediate unloading and reinforcement are required. Regularly cleaning the snow and debris on the roof area can reduce additional loads, extend the service life of CZ steel roof purlins, and ensure the long-term safe and stable operation of the building structure.
