      During the operation of a time relay, when the coil is energized, the armature and support plate are attracted by the iron core and instantaneously move downwards, causing the instantaneous action contact to connect or disconnect. After a certain period of time, the piston rod descends to a certain position, and the delayed contact is pushed by the lever to open the dynamic breaking contact and close the dynamic closing contact. The delay time of the relay is the period from the coil being energized to the completion of the action of the delay contact.

      The delay performance of a time relay can be adjusted within the design range, making it convenient to adjust its delay time. This makes the application of time relays in production equipment very extensive, which can grasp the timing and improve the accuracy and performance of products. At the same time, time relays also have the function of automatic monitoring. By placing them together with other devices, they can form a program space route and achieve automated operation of the equipment.
