two.Measuring principle
This instrument consists of a wet oxidation circuit and a carbon dioxide gas detector. Simple structure, easy connection, easy maintenance, and easy upgrade and replacement; Low operating costs, suitable for teaching and use by a wide range of factories, mines, grassroots environmental monitoring departments, and teachers and students of relevant universities; Wet oxidation/micro capacitive infrared detection method has high sensitivity and suitable measurement range for surface water and process water use.
The measurement process and working principle are as follows:
one After passing through the pressure regulator, carrier gas I is mixed with reagents from the injection pump, water samples from the injection pump and distribution valve, and enters the agitation loop together for sufficient acidification reaction. The inorganic carbon in the water sample is converted into carbon dioxide gas under the action of phosphoric acid and then escapes from the gas/liquid separator outlet. The organic carbon in the water sample and the sodium peroxide in the reagent enter the reactor. Under the oxidation of ultraviolet light and sodium peroxide, organic carbon is converted into carbon dioxide gas.
two Carrier gas II enters the reactor through a flow meter, driving carbon dioxide gas into the condenser. The condensed carbon dioxide gas enters the electronic cooler for further cooling to 6 ℃, thereby achieving the purpose of gas/water separation and eliminating the influence of moisture on the measured values.
three Filter out solid particles and interfering ions that may exist in carbon dioxide gas and enter NDIR for concentration measurement.
four NDIR outputs analog signals corresponding to the concentration of carbon dioxide gas; After AD conversion, this signal is collected and processed by the CPU, displaying the total TOC value of the water sample.
five Removal of Inorganic Carbon
The presence of carbonates, bicarbonates, and dissolved carbon dioxide in the sample must be removed before the organic carbon testing process, in order to only consider "organic carbon". After mixing the sample and reagent, the inorganic carbon reacts with phosphoric acid under the drive of the carrier gas, and carbon dioxide escapes from the gas-liquid separator.
six Oxidation of organic substances
After mixing the sample and reagent, they flow into the reactor. Through the irradiation of ultraviolet light and the action of the oxidizing agent sodium (ammonium), the organic carbon in the sample reacts rapidly to form carbon dioxide.
seven data processing
The instrument adopts a combination of continuous and intermittent injection, with sufficient TOC oxidation, which increases the measurement range, improves the accuracy and stability of the instrument.
