      The detection of overhead pipelines/Due to the special detection location of the Songming Longhe overhead pipeline (within a range of 30m) and the difficulty of personnel inspection, it has been decided to use a mobile laser methane telemetry instrument to scan the leakage situation of the pipeline from a distance. Two of the pipeline locations are key monitoring positions. Scan the indicator laser emitted by the instrument to the location where leakage may occur, and then display the leakage status on the screen. No leakage was found. The comparison between the above detection results and the results of daily equipment testing and pressure holding tests shows that the detection results of the laser detector are consistent with those of traditional detectors.

      Product Introduction

      The XY-150M laser methane telemetry instrument uses TDLAS technology to achieve remote telemetry of methane gas. The telemetry instrument consists of a transmitting unit and a receiving unit. Based on the molecular structure of methane, it has absorption properties for specific wavelengths of light. If there is a methane gas mass on the optical path, the transmitting laser is partially absorbed, and the receiver can detect a proportional decrease in the number of gas mass molecules on the optical path, thereby quickly calculating the cumulative concentration of methane and triggering an alarm. It has the performance characteristics of long detection distance and high sensitivity. Suitable for various places where methane may leak, especially for overhead pipelines, narrow spaces, residential kitchens, and other places where inspectors cannot approach due to distance and obstacles.

      Measuring principle

      When the laser emitted by the telemetry instrument passes through a natural gas leakage gas cluster, methane gas absorbs the laser. The absorbed laser is reflected by an object and returned to the telemetry instrument. After data acquisition and processing, the concentration information of the methane gas cluster is obtained, which is expressed as the density of the methane cylinder (ppm · m): methane concentration in the methane cylinder (ppm) x gas cluster thickness (m).
