1. Main application areas:
XY-HS01PThe radon meter is a new generation of intelligent radiation protection detection instrument developed using high-resolution SiAu (gold silicon barrier type) semiconductor a-ray detector and high-resolution CZT (antimony zinc cadmium) semiconductor a-ray detector. The radon meter adopts high-resolution PIPS (ion implantation) semiconductor a-ray detector and is based on a microcontroller for radon measurement.
This instrument can be used for monitoring indoor radiation environment radon levels and pollution control in civil construction projects, as well as for investigating and evaluating radon concentration in soil at civil construction sites. It can also be used for mineral resource exploration, engineering geological exploration, environmental radon concentration monitoring by relevant departments in the nuclear industry, earthquake and geological disaster prediction monitoring, radon concentration radiation detection in geological surveys to determine geological structures, water quality evaluation, and other work. The main ones are:

3. Reasons for using alpha spectroscopy to measure radon (compared with the scintillation bottle total amount method)
Alpha spectroscopy measurement achieves the measurement of radon (thorium) by measuring short-lived target nuclides, and has the characteristics of fast response and rapid recovery. Only measuring the short-lived characteristic nuclides of Po218 in the purple displayed A region (fast coming and fast going), while the total amount method (scintillation bottle method) records all ABCD data, which is not conducive to rapid response and recovery. In the alpha spectrum, B green and D blue are caused by Rn220, A purple and C yellow are caused by Rn222 (radon), and C comes and goes slowly.
