Description :

There are generally two forms of insulation for steam buried insulated steel pipes, composite type (aluminum silicate+calcium silicate+polyurethane), and glass wool insulation layer:
1、 Composite insulation form
Due to the high temperature of the medium transported, generally exceeding 200 ℃, steam buried pipelines cannot use polyurethane as an insulation layer like buried hot water pipes (because the carbonization temperature of polyurethane is around 142 degrees). Therefore, many manufacturers have adopted composite insulation structures for their steam buried pipelines, which can be roughly divided into two types: "plastic sleeve steel" and "steel sleeve steel"
1. Structure of "plastic (fiberglass) sleeve steel":
From inside to outside, they are the working core tube, lubrication layer, composite insulation layer, and high-density polyethylene (or fiberglass) outer protective layer. The function of the lubrication layer is to enable relative sliding between the working core tube and the insulation layer, avoiding the destructive effect of mutual pulling caused by the different thermal expansion coefficients between the working core tube of the pipeline and the inorganic insulation layer in contact with it. The lubricating layer material is generally inorganic lubricant or inorganic drag reduction layer, and the composite insulation layer is generally inorganic hydrophobic insulation material+polyurethane foam insulation layer from inside to outside. In order to further reduce the heat loss caused by radiation, an aluminum foil reflective layer is sometimes added to the inorganic insulation layer. This type of pipeline is generally used for low-temperature steam transportation with temperatures below 220 ℃. Although it may not be as safe and durable as the composite insulation pipeline with a "steel sleeve steel" structure that will be introduced below, it is suitable for projects with low steam transportation requirements due to its relatively low price.
2. Steel sleeve steel structure:
The structure is roughly the same as that of "plastic sleeve steel", consisting of a working core tube, a lubricating layer, a composite insulation layer (with an aluminum foil reflective layer inside), and a steel outer protective tube from inside to outside. This structure has a significant improvement over the former in terms of high temperature and high pressure resistance, as well as service life and safety factor. Due to the outer protective layer being made of steel pipe, it can play a certain role in delaying the damage and preventing steam overflow from injuring people in the event of leakage of the working inner pipe during operation. The anti-corrosion of steel outer protective pipes generally adopts various forms such as two cloth and three oil, three-layer PE, fiberglass winding, polyurea spraying, and epoxy powder spraying
