The laying methods of insulation pipes are mainly divided into two types: underground laying and above ground laying. Underground laying is further divided into trench laying and direct burial laying. Trench laying refers to laying insulation pipes in underground pipe trenches; Direct burial laying refers to burying insulation pipes directly into the soil (direct burial laying methods are divided into compensated direct burial laying methods and uncompensated direct burial laying methods); Ground laying refers to the installation of insulation pipes on independent or truss style supports on the ground, also known as overhead laying.
1. Low thermal conductivity:
The thermal insulation layer material uses rigid polyurethane foam with excellent thermal insulation performance and extremely low thermal conductivity as the thermal insulation material. This product not only has low thermal conductivity, good mechanical performance, high long-term heat resistance, but also has excellent thermal insulation performance. The closed cell rate of polyurethane foam is up to 88%. The extremely low water absorption and thermal conductivity, coupled with the insulation layer and high-density polyethylene outer protective pipe or fiberglass protective shell with reliable and tight waterproof performance, have changed the traditional situation of "wet cotton jacket" for laying heating pipelines in underground trenches, greatly reducing the overall heat loss performance of the heating pipeline. Polyurethane insulation pipes are prefabricated and tested by the manufacturer as finished composite insulation pipes, and then transported to the construction site for direct underground installation. The method is simple and efficient.

According to relevant departments' calculations, double pipe heating pipelines can generally reduce project costs by about 25% (using fiberglass as a protective layer) and 10% (using high-density polyethylene as a protective layer).

Polyurethane foam can be firmly bonded with a variety of materials. Therefore, using polyurethane foam as the insulation layer of directly buried prefabricated polyurethane insulation pipeline does not need to consider the adhesion of anti-corrosion layer and insulation layer.
6. Waterproof, anti-corrosion, long service life:
Due to the tight adhesion of the insulation layer of the polyurethane insulated pipeline to the outer surface of the steel pipe, it isolates the infiltration of air and water and can have a good anti-corrosion effect. At the same time, its foam pores are all closed, and its water absorption rate is very low. High density polyethylene outer protective pipes or fiberglass shells have good anti-corrosion, insulation properties, and high-strength mechanical properties. Therefore, the outer surface of the working pipe is difficult to be eroded by external air and water. As long as the water quality inside the pipeline is well treated, the service life of directly buried prefabricated polyurethane insulation pipelines can be over 50 years, which is 3-4 times longer than traditional trench laying and overhead laying.
