　　Shipyard uses steel grit, mostly for sandblasting and rust removal before ship spraying. After sandblasting, the ship is sprayed again, which improves the adhesion of the paint and plays a good role in corrosion prevention, increasing the service life of the ship. When sandblasting the hull, there are two options for selecting steel shot and steel sand: 1. With the new sandblasting machine, the ratio of steel shot and steel sand can be matched at 1:1, which helps to facilitate the circulation of steel sand and improve work efficiency; 2. The sandblasting machine that has always been used has a ratio of 1:2 between steel shot and steel sand, which means there is more steel sand and less steel shot, because at this time, more steel sand can improve work efficiency (for sandblasting equipment, the cleaning efficiency of steel sand is higher than that of steel shot). There are roughly four types of steel shot and grit used in shipyards: S330 steel shot, S280 steel shot, G25 steel shot, G40 steel shot. Of course, due to special requirements, other types of steel shot may also be used, such as G16 steel shot, CW1.0 steel wire cutting shot, etc. The most common ones are still the four types mentioned above.
