    Description :

Firstly, high-quality steel blocks, wires, and steel shavings are melted, and then the molten steel is thrown into water by high-speed centrifugal forming using a centrifugal disk, causing the surface temperature of the steel shot to sharply decrease and form a shot body. This is a quenching process. After quenching, the shot is dried and reheated in the furnace to achieve the appropriate hardness. The tempered steel shot is sorted into different grades that meet SAE standards through a mechanical sieve for use in shot blasting equipment.

Reasonable heat treatment control technology endows steel shot with good elasticity and fatigue resistance. Steel shot with different particle sizes and hardness are suitable for different processes, such as shot peening for large-scale and heavy-duty components or materials; Pre coating and rust removal treatment of steel workpieces; Cleaning sand and other components of castings.

In national standards, in order to ensure the quality of steel balls, five chemical elements are standardized, namely carbon (C), manganese (Mn), silicon (Si), sulfur (S), and phosphorus (P); The carbon content is 0.80-1.2%. If the carbon content is too low, it will reduce the hardness of the steel shot, lower production efficiency, and cause deformation or inability to move the workpiece during use; If the carbon content is too high, it will increase the hardness of the steel shot, reduce the service life of the steel shot, greatly increase the breakage rate of the steel shot, and cause the phenomenon of non durability. Manganese iron and silicon iron are advantageous elements that increase the toughness and wear resistance of steel balls. Phosphorus and phosphorus are harmful elements that can reduce the service life of steel balls. The lower the content of these two elements, the better. Regardless of the reason that affects the lifespan of the steel shot and reduces it, the five-year crushing rate will increase, and the dust on the steel shot will increase.
