In order to improve starch extraction rate, different specifications and types of equipment should be configured according to the plant species characteristics of different raw materials when processing and producing starch.     The principle of starch dehydration is to dehydrate the refined starch slurry, mainly to remove excess water from the material and increase the concentration of starch slurry. In order to meet the processing needs of customers and the drying and processing requirements, this step of operation must also be carried out.

    When the drum rotates, due to the vacuum effect, a pressure difference is formed between the inside and outside of the drum, which promotes the adsorption of sludge on the filter cloth. The liquid flows through the filter cloth along the vacuum pipeline to the air-water separation tank, and through continuous vacuum pumping, the sludge adsorbed on the drum is dried to form a filter cake. The filter cake is then removed from the filter cloth through a scraper device, completing one cycle and entering the next cycle.

    The instructions for use are as follows:

    1. Before starting up, check the scraper to make it about 1-2mm away from the filter cloth, and then turn the scraper handle to keep it away from the filter cloth;

    2. Start the rotary motor and adjust the speed controller to maintain the rotary speed at around 15 to 20 revolutions per minute (sometimes adjusted according to the starch situation used by the customer);

    3. Turn on the animal feed pump to inject starch liquid into the dehydrator tank, usually keeping the liquid at 1/2 of the material tank;

    4. Turn on the vacuum pump to allow starch to adsorb onto the filter cloth, and water to be sucked away by the vacuum pump;

    5. Rotate the scraper handle to scrape off the starch adsorbed on the filter cloth;

    6. During operation, the vacuum is generally maintained between 600-850. If the vacuum is too high, the cloth should be washed. First, rotate the scraper handle to remove the scraper from the filter cloth, then close the butterfly valve on the vacuum pump to cut off the vacuum, and continue to rotate the drum. When the starch on the filter cloth is washed into the material tank, open the butterfly valve on the vacuum pump again to allow the butterfly valve to re adhere to the filter cloth, and then rotate the scraper handle to remove the starch on the filter cloth, entering normal operation;

    7. After stopping production, the equipment should be cleaned thoroughly;

    8. After stopping production in winter, the water inside the vacuum pump should be drained to prevent freezing damage to the pump body.
