The resin used for weather resistant and anti-corrosion coatings has excellent high and low temperature resistance, hydrophobicity and moisture resistance, as well as good electrical insulation performance and resistance to arc corona. Its weather resistance, chemical stability, and corrosion resistance are also excellent. This product is widely used as a high-temperature and anti-corrosion coating (200-400 ℃), insulation coating, weather resistant coating, etc. It can be fully cured at room temperature with two components. Compared with SH-023-7, it has better corrosion resistance but slightly lower high temperature resistance. The epoxy value is high, the weather resistance is strong, and the resulting coatings have bright colors and stable products. Due to strict environmental inspections recently, our company has increased efforts to produce high-temperature resistant resins, which is in line with the development of the national conditions.
The structure of silicone resin is shown in Figure 1. Due to the high bond energy of Si-O bond (452 kJ/mol), which is much higher than the bond energy of C-C bond (345.6 kJ/mol) and C-O bond (357.7 kJ/mol), the Si-O-Si main chain is very stable, has good weather resistance, and is difficult to generate free radicals and undergo oxidation reactions. In addition, due to the presence of methyl groups (hydrophobic groups) in the side chains of silicone resin, this undoubtedly further enhances the water resistance of silicone coatings.

Heat resistance is also a characteristic of silicone resin coatings. Pure silicone resin varnish can withstand high temperatures of 200-250 ℃, while coatings formulated with flakes, glass materials, heat-resistant fillers, etc. can withstand high temperatures of 300-700 ℃. Modified silicone resin and heat-resistant pigments can be used to produce coatings that can withstand high temperatures of 200-300 ℃.
