Description :
Sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate is prepared by reacting dodecylbenzene with fuming sulfuric acid or trioxide, and then neutralizing with alkali. The disadvantage of sulfonating with fuming sulfuric acid is that there is always some waste acid present in the sulfonated material after the reaction is complete. The sodium sulfate generated after neutralization is introduced into the product, affecting its purity. At present, the sulfonation method of sulfur trioxide air mixture is commonly used in industry. Sulfur trioxide can be evaporated from 60% fuming sulfuric acid or burned with dry air in a furnace to obtain a mixed gas containing SO3. Introduce the mixed gas into a sulfonation reactor containing alkylbenzene for sulfonation. Sulfonated materials enter the neutralization system for neutralization with solution, and then enter the spray drying system for drying. The obtained product is a powder with good fluidity.
