Description :
Lithium silicate is a compound formed by the combination of metallic lithium and silicate ions, and is marketed as lithium water glass. Most of them use the lithium hydroxide method to react sodium silicate with sulfuric acid to produce hydrated silicic acid and sodium sulfate. The hydrated silicic acid is then reacted with lithium hydroxide to produce lithium silicate and water, resulting in the production of lithium silicate products. Used in glass systems, molten salt systems, and high-temperature ceramic glazes, as well as as as surface anti rust coatings for steel and other materials. Used as an adhesive, mainly for inorganic zinc rich coatings and advanced welding rods.
