　　1. Testing items:

　　Permanganate index, oxygen consumption (COD Mn method)

　　Permanganate index, also known as oxygen consumption or chemical oxygen demand (manganese method), expressed as COD Mn. It refers to the use of oxidants to oxidize reducing substances in water under certain conditions, converting the amount consumed into oxygen (O2, mg/L). Reducing substances in water include inorganic and organic substances, mainly organic substances. Therefore, oxygen consumption can indirectly reflect the degree of organic pollution in water and is a comprehensive indicator for evaluating the total amount of organic pollution in water bodies.

　　2. Application scope:

　　Suitable for the determination of drinking water, source water, surface water, and groundwater. Inorganic reducing substances such as NO2-, S2-, and Fe2+in the sample can be determined. When the chloride ion concentration is higher than 300mg/L, the determination method of oxidation in alkaline medium is used. The applicable standard requires a measurable concentration of 5.0mg/L (calculated as O2), which can be adjusted according to the actual needs of the customer. The determination of permanganate index and oxygen consumption (CODMn method) in surface water (GB3838-2002 "Environmental Quality Standards for Surface Water"), determination of oxygen consumption in groundwater (GB14848-2017 "Groundwater Quality Standards"), and determination of oxygen consumption in urban water supply (CJ/T206-2005 "Water Quality Standards for Urban Water Supply") are all related to the determination of permanganate index and oxygen consumption.

　　Operation process description:

　　1. Preparation before startup:

　　Prepare reagents, RO pure water, sample cup, magnetic stirrer, and water sample measuring instrument

　　2. Power on, open the software, and click on heat.

　　3. Moisturize and wash the pipeline. Place an empty sample cup at position 50.

　　4. Place samples and edit tasks. The sample is placed in the sample slot and the sample tray is in place.

　　5. Click on 'Start' and proceed with the measurement.

　　6. View the results and print the original data.

　　7. Clean the pipeline and shut down.
