　　Product Overview

　　The permanganate index is a commonly used indicator to reflect organic and inorganic oxidizable substances in water bodies. Defined as: under certain conditions, oxidizing certain organic and inorganic reducing substances in water with potassium permanganate, and calculating the equivalent amount of oxygen based on the amount consumed.

　　working principle

　　This instrument uses the (acidic) titration method to measure water samples. Dissolve and oxidize certain organic and inorganic reducing substances in the water sample using an acidic solution at 96 ℃, and measure the remaining amount at 525nm. The reduction is directly proportional to the consumption of organic matter.
