      1Overview

      The LB-2116 biosafety cabinet quality detector is designed based on Appendix A (potassium iodide method) of JJF1815-2020 "Calibration Specification for Class II Biosafety Cabinets".

      This instrument provides four detection modes: background detection, personnel protection, product protection, and cross infection.

      5、 Related terms

      Background detection: No need to start the aerosol generator, directly detect the environment of the biosafety cabinet;

      Personnel protection: Check whether KI aerosols inside the biosafety cabinet leak to the outside;

      Product protection: Detect whether KI aerosols outside the biosafety cabinet have entered the interior;

      6、 Working principle

      Simulate the pollution gas or escape gas generated inside the safety cabinet with potassium iodide, and use an aerosol generator to transport potassium iodide solution at specific locations inside or outside the biological safety cabinet, generating mist like potassium iodide droplets to form challenge gas

      Sol, using the principle of centripetal force, captures potassium iodide aerosols escaping through the window using an air sampler.

      After sampling, remove the filter membrane from the sampler and place it in a culture dish containing the solution. The potassium iodide droplets on the filter membrane will unfold, forming clear and visible brown dots. Evaluate the protective capability of the safety cabinet by counting the number of dots on the filter membrane.
