Zytel® PLS95G50DH2 BK261 is a high flow 50% glass fiber reinforced PA nylon resin using shielding technology, exclusively from DuPont, providing excellent heat resistance and high stiffness for under hood applications in automobiles such as charge air cooler covers.
Characteristics of DuPont PA6T:
High heat resistance:Zytel® PA6TIt maintains a high melting point of 320 ° C and has good fluidity during the molding process.
Low water absorption rate: The reason for the high water absorption rate of polyamide is that water molecules are hydrogen bonded to the amide group in the molecular structure. By reducing the concentration of amide groups that cause water absorption, DuPont PA6T has one-third lower water absorption than PA46.
High mechanical strength: Due to the rigid aromatic rings in the molecular chain and low water absorption, DuPont PA6T has achieved excellent mechanical strength.
Bending elasticity (at room temperature, dry state): 8000Mpa -17000MPa It has excellent fluidity.
Chemical resistance: It has chemical resistance among all polyamides.
High temperature rigidity: Due to the high glass transition temperature (125 ° C), high rigidity can be maintained even in high-temperature environments, such as in the cabin.
PA6T is a low water absorption polyamide, but if left in the air for a long time, it will absorb water like other polyamides. Forming in a water absorbing state leads to foaming, dripping, poor appearance, and decreased mechanical properties. After using PA6T, do not leave it in the air for a long time and store it with the outside air closed.
