The function of the rolling hinge support is to release horizontal constraints, mainly used for the release of structural horizontal thrust, including the thrust generated by temperature stress and structural arch effect. Roller bearings are widely used in large-span structures such as bridge structures and outdoor corridor bridge trusses, especially in the design of simply supported beams. Installing roller bearings can release the horizontal force transmitted to the bridge piers or supports, reducing the structural cost.
The rolling hinge support consists of upper swing, hinge shaft, lower swing, roller shaft and its connecting parts, bottom plate and other components. The roller shaft is a component that enables the movement of the support. In order to prevent it from tipping over, tooth plates are installed on both sides of the roller shaft, which are inserted into the slots of the lower hem and bottom plate and can rotate together with the roller shaft. There are 2 upper and lower connecting plates on the roller shaft, and a limiting device for the rolling support to prevent rolling out during large displacement, ensuring the safety of the structure.
Design of rolling hinge support:
Rolling bearings are a commonly used form of support for large-span bridges and truss gallery bridges. They are usually composed of small diameter roller shafts arranged in parallel by Luo Gan, and are adapted to the displacement needs of the beam body through the rotation of the rollers. The number of roller shafts depends on the magnitude of the reaction force of the support. The required diameter of a single roller shaft is determined based on the magnitude of the line contact stress. An arc-shaped support is added at the top of a group of roller shafts to ensure that the beam end can rotate freely. The support bottom plate under the roller shaft must have a certain stiffness to ensure the flatness of the support bottom plate. Usually, the roller shaft is made of high-strength forged steel to reduce its diameter and the entire support height. In order to save steel and reduce the length of the support, the two sides of the roller shaft are generally cut off. To ensure the relative position between each roller shaft, a connecting rod is usually set at the center of both ends of the roller shaft to ensure parallel rotation of each roller shaft
