      Principles for selecting bearings

      When checking the bearing, the tangent value of the shear angle a of the bearing under normal use is calculated. When the braking force is not considered, tana ≤0.5; When considering braking force, tana ≤0.7.

      5. According to the seismic fortification intensity and site type of the area where the bridge is located, Table 2 lists the recommended selection schemes for HDR series bearings under normal circumstances for reference by engineering and technical personnel.
