Description :
1、 Performance characteristics of flowing polyurethane sealant:
Flow type polyurethane sealant has wear resistance, low tenderness and softness, a wide range of adjustable performance, high mechanical strength, good adhesion, good elasticity, and resilience. It is suitable for dynamic joints, deformation joints, and expansion joints. Good weather resistance, excellent oil resistance, aging resistance, and low price. Two component polyurethane sealant often has significant differences in shape and application compared to other building adhesives such as glue. Other sealants are generally fluid dynamic and are mainly used for bonding and pasting building decoration materials, without sealing properties.
2、 Leakage prevention measures for flowing polyurethane sealant:
(1) Partially clean the damaged surface of the old waterproof layer, remove all debris and dust. Apply flowing polyurethane sealant and stick polyester reinforcement cloth, then apply 2 coats of flowing polyurethane sealant on a large area.
(2) Remove the old waterproof layer, expose the roof structure layer or leveling layer, and use the joint sealing method according to the leakage prevention measures for the board and wall surface. Fill the joints or add joint sealing method to seal the cracks, and apply a flow type polyurethane sealant reinforcement cloth within a certain area for reinforcement.
3、 Usage of flowing polyurethane sealant:
1. Pour all the B component liquid of the flowing polyurethane sealant into component A, otherwise it will affect the curing time and adhesive properties. The flowing polyurethane sealant should be used up as soon as possible after uniform preparation (with a shelf life of 2 hours) to avoid waste caused by the curing of the paste (which cannot be applied again after curing).
2. The components A and B of the flowing polyurethane sealant must be evenly mixed, whether by machine mixing or manual mixing, and there should be no color difference. If the mixing is not uniform, it will cure slowly or not cure for a long time, or lose its adhesive strength, thereby affecting the quality of the project.
3. The flowing polyurethane sealant is cleaned on the adhesive surface (using a handheld cutting machine, grinding wheel, steel brush, etc.) to expose a solid structural layer on the adhesive surface. Ensure that the joint surface is completely dry, clean, and frost free. There should be no water, oil stains, dust, etc. Construction cannot be carried out on rainy days, and construction is not suitable when the temperature is below 5 ℃.
4. In order to better utilize the characteristics of flowing polyurethane sealant and improve engineering quality, a layer of specialized base treatment agent is applied to the bonded interface in advance, and then the flowing polyurethane sealant is embedded after it dries.
5. Curing speed regulation: Because the curing speed is affected by climatic conditions, some small experiments need to be conducted in advance. If the curing is too fast (such as within 1 hour), the amount of component B can be reduced appropriately; Curing is too slow, and the amount of component B can be appropriately increased.
6. Fill the construction joint with polyethylene closed cell foam board as lining.
7. You can adjust the ratio of components A and B according to your own schedule experiment, and apply 50mm wide protective tape on both sides of the gap 10mm to prevent excess flowing polyurethane sealant from dirtying the surface of the structure during construction. Apply the flowing polyurethane sealant evenly to the construction joint, compact and fill it flat, and try to avoid the mixing of bubbles.
4、 Construction method of flowing polyurethane sealant:
Grassroots treatment: The adhesive surface should be neatly treated (using a handheld cutting machine, grinding wheel, steel brush, etc.) to expose a solid structural layer on the adhesive surface. Ensure that the joint surface is completely dry, clean, and frost free. Clean all dust and cement slurry on the surface. The rust layer and protective paint on the metal surface also need to be removed. If the structure is not dry, it can be dried with a blowtorch. Before applying adhesive on the surface, it is necessary to first apply primer. The primer only needs to be brushed with a thin layer, and after its surface is not sticky to the hand, sealant can be applied for joint filling.
