Mobil Pegasus 254 synthetic turbine oil is recommended for commercial and service use in gas turbine engines, turbofans, turbopropellers, and turboshafts (helicopters) for turbojet aircraft. It is also suitable for aircraft type gas turbine engines used in industrial or marine applications. Mobil Pegasus 254 lubricant has been approved for high thermal stability (HTS) classification according to the American standard MIL-PRF-23699. It is also compatible with synthetic gas turbine lubricants such as MIL-PRF-23699. However, mixing with other products is not recommended as this blend will result in some loss of the superior performance characteristics of Mobil Jet Oil 254, which is fully compatible with all metals used in gas turbine structures, as well as F rubber (fluororubber), H rubber (nitrile rubber), and other commonly used sealing materials.
