Refer to MIL-G-10924 for the specification of lubricating grease, which belongs to the general lubricating grease for automobiles and artillery. China has also developed No.2 grease, but with the increasing demand for universal oil use and all-weather requirements for vehicles in all regions, the technical standards for grease have been revised and expanded to include seawater resistant grease.
The original No. 2 lubricant technical standard GJB4364-2002. The newly revised GJB4364A-2015 adds Type II seawater resistant lubricant to the specification. The test method for bearing life is to use SH/T 0428 "Determination of Life of Lubricating Greases in Ball Bearings at High Temperatures" instead of ASTM 3336. Replace ASTM 3527 with SH/T 0773 "Determination of Life Characteristics of Lubricating Greases for Automotive Wheel Hub Bearings".
Compared to ordinary fats, seawater resistant fats require a 50% increase in impurities and a 2.0% increase in evaporation loss. At the same time, the anti-wear performance adopts Pd and ZMZ indicators, which are required to be no less than 2450 and 343, respectively. In the anti-corrosion test, synthetic seawater is used instead, and dynamic rust prevention test of synthetic seawater is added.
