Introduction to Stainless Steel Water Tank Accessories
1. Overflow pipe: The overflow pipe of the water tank can be connected from the side wall or bottom, and its diameter is determined according to the inflow rate of the drainage water tank, and it should be 1-2 sizes larger than the inlet pipe. Valves shall not be installed on the overflow pipe. The overflow pipe shall not be directly connected to the drainage system, and indirect drainage must be used. Measures should be taken on the overflow pipe to prevent the entry of dust, insects, mosquitoes, flies, etc., such as setting up water seals, filters, etc.
2. Drain pipe: The water tank drain pipe should be connected from the bottom. The drainage pipe diagram 2-2n shows that the fire and living platform water tank is equipped with a gate valve (no shut-off valve should be installed), which can be connected to the overflow pipe, but cannot be directly connected to the drainage system. Unless otherwise specified, the diameter of the drainage pipe is generally DN50.
3. Ventilation pipe: The water tank for drinking water should be equipped with a sealed box cover, and there should be no access holes or ventilation pipes on the box cover. The ventilation pipe can extend indoors or outdoors, but should not extend to areas with harmful gases. The pipe opening should have a filter screen to prevent dust, insects, and mosquitoes from entering, and should generally be set with the pipe opening facing downwards. Valves, water seals, and other devices that obstruct ventilation shall not be installed on the ventilation pipe. Ventilation pipes shall not be connected to drainage systems and ventilation ducts. The ventilation pipe generally adopts a diameter of DN50.
4. Liquid level gauge: Generally, a glass liquid level gauge should be installed on the side wall of the water tank to indicate the water level locally. When the length of one level gauge is insufficient, two or more level gauges can be installed vertically. The overlap between two adjacent level gauges should not be less than 70mm, as shown in Figure 2-22. If the water tank is not equipped with a liquid level signal timer, a signal pipe can be installed to provide an overflow signal. The signal pipe is generally connected from the side wall of the water tank, and its height should be set so that the bottom of the pipe is flush with the bottom of the overflow pipe or the overflow water surface of the horn mouth. The diameter of the pipe is generally DNl5 signal pipe, which can be connected to washbasins, washing basins, and other places in rooms where people are frequently on duty. If the liquid level of the water tank is interlocked with the water pump, a liquid level relay or signal device should be installed on the side wall or top cover of the water tank. Common liquid level relays or signals include float ball, rod, capacitor, and float flat types.
