The basic form of heavy-duty trailer is a single flatbed trailer, which generally has the following structure. The frame and wheel axles are often two coaxial lines, meaning there are two left and right wheel axles on one axis, also known as a two axle row. Common single unit flatbed trailers have 2-7 axes. One axle is equipped with 4 tires, and there are 8 tires on one axis. So the width of the entire vehicle can reach over 3 meters. In order to lower the center of gravity of the entire vehicle, steel radial wide wheel rims with small diameters and high load capacity are generally installed (see automotive tires), and each tire can withstand a load of about 4 tons under low-speed operating conditions. The frame adopts a welded structure of high-strength alloy steel box section. Usually, a single flatbed trailer with 5 axes and 2 axles can carry a load of over 100 tons.
