A metal roof beam is a support beam used in coal mining working faces, located above and below a single hydraulic support pillar, to transmit roof pressure. It is a top beam used for the support panel of the coal mining face. According to the connection method, metal top beams can be divided into two types: hinged top beams and non hinged top beams. According to the cross-sectional shape of the top beam, metal top beams can be divided into four types: Type A, Type B, Type C, and Type D. The metal top beam can be combined with various types of individual metal pillars to form a metal support, which is a high-strength top beam used for supporting coal mines in horizontal and gently inclined mining faces. Due to its ability to suspend the wall and support the working face, the top plate on the conveyor roadway in front of the coal wall provides a large support space between the coal wall and the pillars.
