Description :

　　Round stranded steel wire rope is a steel wire bundle made by twisting multiple strands of steel wire rope around a fiber core or steel wire rope core, also known as a three twisted steel wire rope. The structure of the steel cable is that the central wire of each strand of the three twisted steel wire rope is in a secondary spiral shape, while the other layers of steel wire are in a tertiary spiral shape. The production method of steel cable is not much different from that of ordinary steel wire rope, except that a larger number of steel wires are used, which need to be twisted three times to make it. Under the same diameter, it has better flexibility and greater breaking force than ordinary steel wire ropes.

　　Classification of Round Strand Wire Rope Products

　　Round stranded steel wire ropes are classified according to their structure:

　　(1) Single twisted (stranded) steel wire rope:

　　1. Ordinary single strand steel wire rope: a steel wire rope made by twisting one or more layers of round steel wires in a spiral shape around a core wire;

　　2. Semi sealed steel wire rope: one or more layers of round steel wires are wound around the central steel wire in a spiral shape, and the outer layer is a steel wire rope made by alternately twisting irregular and round wires;

　　3. Sealed steel wire rope: a steel wire rope in which one or more layers of round steel wires are wound around the central steel wire in a spiral shape, and the outer surface is twisted from one or several layers of irregular steel wires

　　(2) Double twisted (multi strand) steel wire rope: a single-layer or multi-layer steel wire rope made by twisting one or more strands around a core in a spiral shape

　　(3) Triple twisted steel wire rope (steel cable): a steel wire rope made by twisting multiple strands of steel wire rope around a fiber core or steel rope core

　　Round stranded steel wire rope is divided by diameter:

　　(1) Thin diameter steel wire rope, i.e. steel wire rope with a diameter<8mm

　　(2) Ordinary diameter steel wire rope, i.e. steel wire rope with a diameter ≥ 8-60mm

　　(3) Coarse diameter steel wire rope, i.e. steel wire rope with a diameter>60mm

　　Round stranded steel wire rope is classified by purpose:

　　(1) General purpose steel wire rope (including steel strand)

　　(2) Steel wire rope for elevators

　　(3) Aviation steel wire rope

　　(4) Steel wire rope for drilling deep well equipment

　　(5) Wire ropes for aerial ropeways and cable cars

　　(6) Lifting steel wire rope

　　(7) Steel strand for prestressed concrete

　　(8) Fishing wire rope

　　(9) Steel wire rope for mine hoisting

　　(10) Steel cord for tires

　　(11) Steel wire rope for adhesive tape
