This structural form has dual functions of ground wire and communication, and is generally referred to as OPGW optical cable. A 250 μ m optical fiber is inserted into a loose tube made of high modulus material, and the loose tube is filled with waterproof compound. A layer of double-sided plastic coated steel strip (PSP) is wrapped longitudinally outside the loose tube, and a water-resistant material is added between the steel strip and the loose tube to ensure the compactness and longitudinal water resistance of the optical cable. Two parallel steel wires are placed on both sides and extruded into a polyethylene sheath to form the cable. Characteristics: 1. Structure: OPGW optical cables are mainly used on 500kV, 220kV, and 110kV voltage level lines. Due to factors such as power outages and safety, they are often applied on newly built lines.
