　　ADSS optical cable is designed as a bundle tube layer twisted structure, mainly consisting of 5-tube layer twisted and 6-tube layer twisted. The structural characteristics are:

　　·PBT, polybutylene terephthalate, is used as a bundle tube material, with optical fibers of appropriate length inserted and filled with water-resistant fiber paste.

　　·Aramid yarn, as a tensile strength component, is designed in accordance with the strength requirements of ADSS. By adjusting the torque balance of aramid winding, ADSS has extremely high tensile strength and stress-strain characteristics.

　　·Sheath, the inner sheath is made of black polyethylene, and the outer sheath is divided into ordinary polyethylene and scratch resistant polyethylene, corresponding to working environments with spatial potential ≤ 12kV and>12kV.

　　ADSS optical cable is mainly used to add optical channels to existing lines with voltage levels of 110kV and below, and to quickly construct fiber optic networks. Therefore, it is necessary to find a suitable "space" for installing ADSS optical cables on the existing tower. The application design of ADSS includes two aspects: span tension sag design, and calculating the spatial potential distribution of the tower to determine the position of the ADSS hanging point and avoid electrical corrosion faults
