      OPGW optical cables can adopt aluminum tube type, aluminum skeleton type, and (stainless) steel tube type structures according to user needs. The optical fibers are sheathed in stainless steel sleeves, surrounded by aluminum clad steel wire (AS wire) and wrapped with aluminum alloy wire (AA wire) layers to form cables. When the first two structures of OPGW are subjected to short-circuit current impact, the aluminum tube and aluminum frame will generate relatively high temperatures and diffuse inward, thereby affecting fiber transmission and even fiber breakage, while the stainless steel tube type significantly improves the situation. If the structure contains aluminum, after exceeding 200 ℃, the aluminum will first undergo irreversible plastic deformation. At the same time as the structure is damaged, the increased sag of OPGW not only cannot maintain a safe distance from the conductor, but may also collide with the conductor. If it is an all steel structure, it can work at 300 ℃ for a short time.
