Flame retardant optical cable uses flame-retardant polyethylene sheath material instead of ordinary optical cable's polyethylene sheath material, making the optical cable have flame-retardant properties, structural dimensions, and transmission performance. Machinery and environment are connected to ordinary optical cables.
The structure of flame-retardant optical cable is to embed single-mode or multi-mode optical fibers into a loose tube made of high modulus plastic, and fill the tube with a water-resistant compound. The center of the cable core is a phosphated steel wire or a steel wire rope extruded with polyethylene. A loose sleeve (or filling rope and signal wire) is twisted around the center to strengthen the core and form a compact and circular cable core. The gaps inside the cable core are filled with water-resistant filling material, steel polyethylene bonding inner sheath, and then blue flame-retardant PVC sheath is used to form the cable.
Manufacturing of optical cables: The manufacturing process of optical cables generally includes the following steps:
1. Fiber selection: Select fibers with excellent transmission characteristics and qualified tension.
Dyeing of optical fibers: Standard full spectrum chromatography should be used for identification, requiring no color fading or migration at high temperatures.
Secondary extrusion: Select plastic with high elastic modulus and low linear expansion coefficient to extrude into pipes of a certain size, and incorporate optical fibers and fill them with moisture-proof and waterproof materials.
Fiber optic cable twisting: Twist several extruded optical fibers together with reinforcement units.
Squeezing optical cable outer sheath: adding a layer of sheath to the twisted optical cable.
