ADSS fiber optic cable, also known as all dielectric self-supporting optical cable, is a non-metallic optical cable that is entirely composed of dielectric materials, contains necessary support systems, and can be directly suspended from power towers
Sheath:
PE sheath: Ordinary polyethylene sheath, used for power lines below 110KV.
AT sheath: anti electric trace sheath. Used for power lines above 110KV. The required support system can be directly suspended from non-metallic optical cables on power towers.
Features: Designed specifically for power systems, it is a fully insulated self-supporting overhead optical cable with no metal materials in its structure.
The fully insulated structure has a high voltage resistance index, which is conducive to the installation and construction of overhead power lines with live operation, without affecting the operation of the lines.

Purpose:
It is mainly used as a communication line for overhead high-voltage transmission systems, and can also be used for communication lines in lightning prone areas, large-span and other overhead laying environments. Working in an overhead state supported by two points over a large span (usually several hundred meters, or even over 1 kilometer), it is completely different from the traditional concept of "overhead" (the overhead suspension line hook program of postal and telecommunications standards has an average of 0.4 meters with one fulcrum for the optical cable). So, the main parameters of ADSS optical cables are in line with the regulations for overhead power lines. Allowable tension refers to the tension that the optical cable experiences when theoretically calculating the total load under design meteorological conditions. Under this tension, the strain of the optical fiber should be ≤ 0.05% (layer twist) and ≤ 0.1% (center tube) without additional attenuation.
