The distribution of ADSS optical cables is an important issue in the ordering and construction of optical cables After the adopted lines and conditions are clear, the distribution of optical cables should be considered, and the factors that affect distribution include:
(1) Due to the fact that ADSS optical cables cannot be arbitrarily spliced like ordinary optical cables (because the fiber core of the optical fiber cannot withstand force), they must be spliced on the tension tower of the line. Also, due to poor conditions at the field splicing point, the length of each fiber optic cable should be controlled as much as possible between 3-5Km. If the length is too long, it is inconvenient for construction; If it is too short, there will be more connections, resulting in significant attenuation of the path and affecting the transmission quality of the optical cable.
(2) In addition to the length of the transmission line being the main basis for the length of the optical cable reel, the natural conditions between the towers should also be considered, such as whether the traction machine can travel conveniently and whether the tension machine can be placed.
(3) Due to errors in line design, the following empirical formula can be used for the distribution of optical cables: cable reel length=transmission line length x coefficient+construction consideration length+fusion length+line error; Usually, the "coefficient" includes the sag of the line, the length of the overhead line on the tower, etc. The length considered for construction is the length used for traction during construction.
(4) The distance between the ADSS fiber optic cable hanging point and the ground is generally not less than 7m. When determining the distribution, the span difference should be simplified to reduce the types of fiber optic cables, which can reduce the number of spare parts (such as various hanging fittings configured) and facilitate construction.
Basic requirements for ADSS fiber optic cable construction:
(1) The construction of ADSS optical cables is usually carried out on live line towers, and insulated endless ropes, insulated safety belts, insulated tools must be used during construction. The wind force should not exceed level 5, and a safe distance must be maintained from lines of different voltage levels, namely 35KV greater than 1.0m, 110KV greater than 1.5m, and 220KV greater than 3.0m;
(2) Due to the fragility of fiber cores, excessive tension and lateral pressure should not be applied during construction; (3) During construction, optical cables must not rub or collide with other objects such as the ground, houses, towers, cable reels, etc;
(4) The bending of optical cables is limited, and the bending radius for general operation is ≥ D, where D is the diameter of the optical cable. During construction, the bending radius is ≥ 30 D;
(5) Twisting the optical cable will damage it, and longitudinal twisting is strictly prohibited;
(6) The fiber core of the optical cable is prone to breakage due to moisture and water ingress. During construction, the cable end must be sealed with waterproof tape;
(7) The outer diameter of the optical cable is matched with the representative span, and it is not allowed to adjust the reel arbitrarily during construction. At the same time, the fittings correspond to the outer diameter of the optical cable, and it is strictly prohibited to use them indiscriminately; (8) After the completion of each fiber optic cable construction, sufficient length of surplus cable is usually reserved for hanging and splicing at the tower, and installing fiber optic distribution frames at the substation.
