Stone carving Confucius established the trend of "private lectures" and advocated for "benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and faith". He had three thousand disciples and seventy-two wise people. He once led some disciples to travel around various countries and revised the Six Classics (Poetry, Book, Rites, Music, Yi, Spring and Autumn). After Confucius' death, his disciples compiled his and his disciples' words, deeds, and thoughts into a book called "The Analects", which is known as the Confucian classic.
