The Stone Sutra Pagoda is one of the most important carved stones in Chinese Buddhism. It is usually built by stacking multiple stone carvings. The chiseled stone is cylindrical or prismatic, generally octagonal, with a height of three to four feet, covered with a lid, larger than the diameter of the column, and engraved with patterns such as hanging curtains and streamers.
