UV resistant PA66 basic innovative plastic, American RL4040 wear-resistant
Polyamide (PA), commonly known as nylon, is a general term for resins containing repeating amide groups - NHCO - on the molecular chain, obtained by condensation of dicarboxylic acids with diamines or amino acids. Nylon is a basic resin with high production, the largest variety, the widest range of applications, and excellent comprehensive performance among the five major general engineering plastics. Among the nylon series varieties, PA6 and PA66 have a large production and consumption, accounting for about 90% of the nylon production. Nylon ranks first among the five major engineering plastics mainly due to its excellent properties, such as mechanical, chemical, and thermal properties.
Nylon is a high-performance engineering plastic that is widely used in various fields such as automobiles, communications, machinery, electronics, textiles, aerospace, military, and sports equipment due to its outstanding weather resistance, low-temperature flexibility, and corrosion resistance. It is currently a key research and development direction in the nylon industry both domestically and internationally. Due to the rapid development of industries such as automobiles, electronics, and machinery in China, the demand for nylon is also increasing. The automotive industry has a large demand, accounting for about 50% of the market share. It is mainly used to manufacture fuel pipes and clutch hoses, replacing the original copper pipes and reducing hidden dangers such as oil leakage and fires caused by collision and wear between metal pipes. This not only improves the safety of car driving, but also reduces the quality of cars and saves energy consumption.
Nylon, as an important engineering plastic today, is constantly being improved through physical and chemical modifications to enhance its performance. At present, many fields have put forward new requirements for the high-temperature resistance function of materials. In order to meet these requirements, people have conducted a lot of research in developing new high-temperature nylon products, and high-temperature nylon is becoming a research hotspot in the current market.

Characteristics of high-temperature nylon
1. High temperature resistance performance. The hot bending temperature is 280 ℃ (1.8MPa), and the continuous use temperature is 180 ℃.
2. Creep performance. The high crystallinity of HTPA allows it to maintain excellent rigidity at high temperatures (above 120 ℃), with strength similar to aluminum, hardness similar to steel, and flexibility, ductility, and impact resistance similar to rubber.
3. Dimensional accuracy and stability. The molecular structure of HTPA contains aromatic rings in the molecular segments, making the molecular structure more regular and the chains shorter and less prone to movement.
4. Chemical resistance. Polyamide materials have good resistance to most chemicals. Like other polyamide materials, HTPA is no exception, especially with excellent oil and grease resistance at high temperatures.
5. Moisture absorption. HTPA fiber-reinforced products have low moisture absorption, with a water absorption rate only half of the same amount of fiber-reinforced PA46 products. This low moisture absorption can save customers more drying costs and improve the dimensional stability of the product.
6. Resilience. The excellent impact toughness of HTPA makes it a material choice for high demand manufacturing.
