Saturated vapor pressure is one of the key indicators of vacuum pump oil. The pressure at which the vapor and liquid phases reach dynamic equilibrium in a constant temperature sealed container is called the saturated vapor pressure. The saturated vapor pressure of the oil should be as low as possible. At the working temperature of the pump, it should still have a sufficiently low saturated vapor pressure and be lower than the limit pressure specified by the vacuum pump. At a temperature of 60 ℃, it is necessary to achieve at least 6.5 × 10-8 kPa (because for every 20 ℃ increase in temperature, the saturated vapor pressure drops by approximately one order of magnitude).
