A more favorable section of the river should be selected as the water intake point.       (2) The water flow should be stable and avoid areas with large currents, rapids, and strong winds and waves;

      (3) Free from the influence of river navigation and raft placement, the position of the floating ship should be kept at a certain distance from the waterway to avoid collision with each other.

      (4) During dry season, there should be sufficient water depth; The water depth should be determined based on the tonnage and draft of the floating vessel. For small floating boats, the water depth is generally not less than 1.0m; For larger scale floating boats, the water depth should be 2.0m or greater. If the water depth is insufficient and there is slight siltation, the floating ship will be stranded, and some will be damaged and leak water due to grounding. Therefore, when determining the water depth of the location where the floating ship takes water, full consideration should be given to the siltation situation and changes, and the design water depth should leave room for variation.
