The production process elements of PVC board:
Mold: The influence of mold on low-temperature impact strength is mainly reflected in the control of melt pressure and stress during cooling. Once the formula is determined, the melt pressure is mainly related to the die. The profiles produced from the mouth mold will undergo different cooling methods, resulting in different stress distributions. In areas of stress concentration, PVC sheets have poor low-temperature impact strength.
When PVC sheets are subjected to rapid cooling, they are prone to generate large stresses. Therefore, the layout of the cooling water channel for the shaping mold is crucial, and the water temperature is generally controlled between 14 ℃ and 16 ℃. Adopting a slow cooling method is beneficial for improving the low-temperature impact strength of PVC profiles.
